ACT was at the ABAI conference in Seattle this past weekend. Themes included using technology to advance interventions for autism (e.g., ipad, itouch, and Wii), considering the effectiveness of interventions in real world settings as oppose to pure efficacy in laboratory settings, moving toward RCTs (randomized controlled trials) and group research designs, and evaluating parent and child preferences for different strategies. It was a great conference!
